Merry Christmas!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas! We celebrated with some of our students at a Christmas party we held for the older students (ages 9-12). At the party, we had lunch and played some games. It was really cute watching the kids eat...they had great manners! Afterwards, they all lined up single file to divide their trash into plastics, paper, and wood chopsticks. At school, the kids are required to eat everything on their plate. At the party, one little girl didn't like the rice and she felt very embarrassed to throw away her plate with food on it!

On Christmas Eve, we went to a yaki niku restaurant, which translates to grilled meat. The beef in Japan is amazing! It almost melts in your mouth when you eat it because it's really marbled. We had fun grilling our own meat!
